Act as a pure-play reinsurer
We are known for – and very proud of – our pure-play reinsurance model, which allows us to grow with our clients. How do we continue to live up to this approach? By continuing to keep costs for ancillary services and other non-reinsurance activities low and by focusing on our reinsurance core competencies.
Be the preferred business partner
We listen and suggest targeted solutions. We recognise, identify and react quickly to new business opportunities. That is our understanding of reliable and long-term partnerships with our clients. The basis for this is consistent and effective client relationship management, in which we continuously invest. Supporting new business models and strengthening the performance of our clients’ portfolios is important to us. We achieve these core objectives by utilising our resources efficiently. Therefore, we consistently keep our underwriting solutions up to date, support our clients in areas of our core expertise and offer them access to strategically selected partners from our network.
Build on our lean and capital-efficient operating model
Our lean operating approach, which is reflected in our low cost ratio, determines our daily actions and therefore has a significant influence on our performance. We are maintaining our healthy focus on cost-efficiency and cost-effectiveness and by continuing to rely on an optimal mix of capital instruments, we will maintain a very competitive cost of capital. Our conservative reserving approach and active use of the retrocession market help us manage earnings volatility and make us a reliable partner for the capital market. Last but not least, our investment excellence will contribute to our earnings growth.
